Our images hanging up at the George Reynolds branch of the Boulder Public Library.

Each year, researchers at CU Boulder create visually stunning images using the advanced microscopes at the BioFrontiers Institute’s Advanced Light Microscopy Core. Many of these images are featured in our annual CU Up Close Image Competition. The top 12 images from each cycle are showcased in our annual calendar, with the top three selected by public vote and displayed prominently within our facility. Visitors to the Jennie Smoly Caruthers Biotechnology Building often pause at the third-floor landing to admire these remarkable images, highlighting the significant impact of your work.

Recently, our images have garnered attention beyond CU Boulder and are now being displayed in the local community. Currently, 17 of our images are featured at the Boulder Public Libraries’ George Reynolds branch from May 1 to July 31. Be sure to visit and enjoy the display!
